PRE-ORDER NEW SEASON 2024 - DU (BLACK)

For those that want to have some of the very first tea of the year you can now pre-order 2024 harvest.

Tea will be sent as soon as it becomes available this year. Time scales are totally weather dependant, but is most likely to be late May/early June.

What we can guarantee is that you will have First Flush tea from the start of our 2024 harvest, so it will be pretty special and worth the wait!

Hand picked and crafted, it brews a lovely ‘drink all day’ cup of tea, very mellow & smooth with low astringency.

Ethically farmed with no herbicides or pesticides - our farm is in organic conversion with The Soil Association.

Variety: Camelia sinensis var. sinensis - all grown lovingly from seed

Tasting notes from 2023:

Wet leaf: sweet, slightly jammy fruit notes

Liquor: Pale amber with a honeyed fruit nose

Palate: Light bodied, very smooth with flavours of mixed fruit, hints of honey and the odd touch of hazelnut

Brewing: Really comes into its own when brewed Gong Fu style, give it a short first infusion at about 85 – 90c – can easily be infused 2 or 3 times. We’d recommend around 3g for 200ml.
