WHAT IS INCLUDED?

The course includes all tuition and course materials, green tea tastings, hands on processing of fresh leaf, a lovely lunch and a great day out doing something very unique in Wales! 

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

In a small group (maximum of 6) we start the day with an introduction to Peterston Tea Estate and a tasting of some of our 2024 early season green tea

We will cover some of the theory behind tea, the tea plant and the processes that lead to different classifications of tea. We’ll talk about the basics of tea harvesting and then go out onto the tea field to see the plants and put theory into practice with some tea plucking!

We’ll pick tea until we take a probably much needed short break for lunch

The afternoon will then be spent in our production unit with an introduction to tea processing and a fully hands on experience of taking your fresh leaf to finished green tea

You will end the day with your own handmade green tea to take home and an insight into the beautiful and complex world of tea processing!

•  Peterston Tea Estate reserves the right to cancel courses at any time.  A full refund of the course fee will be offered, or if possible, an option to take the course on a different date

• We will require 7 days notice if you need to cancel for any reason. Cancellations up to 7 days before the course are subject to a 5% booking fee

• Please let us know if you have any access requirements (hello@peterstontea.com) – this is a working farm with slightly uneven terrain, we will of course try to be as accommodating as possible

• No dogs or children under 14

• Peterston Tea Estate will not at any time be liable to compensate for any loss of earnings or expenditure incurred by the course attendee
